Let Dentistry of Bethesda Tend to Your Special Needs Dentistry

Individuals with physical and developmental challenges require special care. Dr. Hornstein has been providing care for special needs patients since 1991, and our Bethesda dental office is designed to make caring for special needs patients as comfortable and easy as possible. If you use a wheelchair to get around, you’ll find it easy to access our office, and we have movable dental chairs. While most dental chairs are bolted to the floor, ours can be moved, allowing you to remain in your wheelchair while you receive your care. Complications that you might run into at other dental offices won’t be a problem at Dentistry of Bethesda.

Dr. Hornstein always takes great pains to determine the best treatment style for each individual special needs patient. Some dentists will only treat special needs patients with the help of sedation, but Dr. Hornstein is well-practiced at the art of treating patients with various types of disabilities without sedation. Should sedation be necessary, Dr. Hornstein offers oral sedation in house, and maintains a relationship with an oral surgeon who can provide IV sedation when necessary.

As a board member of the Maryland Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, caring for special needs patients is one of Dr. Hornstein’s passions. He maintains relationships with the following organizations for special needs:
