Spencer G. Hornstein, DDS, MAGD

Dr. Spencer Hornstein’s father practiced dentistry in New York City while he was growing up.  Dr. Spencer Hornstein appreciated oral health, as well as the science and art of dentistry from a young age.  In 1981 Dr. Hornstein graduated from New York University with a Bahelor of Arts degree in Biology.  After graduating from Howard University Dental School in 1985, Dr. Hornstein completed a General Practice Residency at Sydenham NFCC/Harlem Hospital Center at Columbia University in New York City.  He continues to expand his knowledge and skills by attending classes, seminars, and hands-on training events.  Dr. Hornstein is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Angela Balaba

Dr. Balaba graduated from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri in 1987 where she received her doctorate in dental medicine. Dr. Balaba grew up in the United Kingdom and attended Queen Elizabeth College of London University where she earned a bachelor's of science degree in biology. Dr. Balaba joined our office in 1997 and is loved by the patients for her dedication to quality, gentle care. In her spare time, Dr. Balaba loves to travel, read autobiographies, and spend time with her family.

Vickie Kresse, Certified Dental Assistant

Vickie has been with Dr. Hornstein since 1991. She received her certification in Dental Assisting from Allegheny Community College. Vickie’s knowledge of dentistry is vast and her skills are excellent. Patients love her kindness and the ability she has to make you forget where you are. In her free time she enjoys her family, her garden, and the STEELERS!

Skylar Worthington Miller, Registered Dental Hygienist

Skylar is our full time Hygienist and loves caring for her patients. She likes meeting and talking with patients and promoting a positive dental care experience. Skylar loves the beach and the outdoors and spending time with her family.

Fiona Thomas, Front Desk Office Manager

Fiona has been in the dental field for the past eight years. She joined our team in 2008 and quickly proved herself to be an invaluable asset. Fiona prides herself on great customer service and making sure every patient gets the insurance coverage they are entitled to.

Barbara Hornstein, Business Manager

Barbara has worked for the office for 18 years. She started out as the front desk receptionist and currently takes care of many of the behind the scenes jobs. In her spare time she enjoys interior design and spending time with Dr. Hornstein and their two grown children, Stephen and Nicole.
